American Singles (Women!)

In the beginning there were local singles dating sites which proved quite popular for a while, and then came the phenomenon of meeting just about everyone and anyone on the World Wide Web. Once online dating passed the 'geek' or 'sad & desperate' phase, we began to see the niche dating evolve, quickly followed by the niche within a niche dating sites.

American singles dating sites are still going strong but are not enjoying the success they once did (more of that later!). One might even wonder why it is that there are so many lonely hearts in the U.S. of A. seeing as it’s the land of plenty of everything. Hmm! Maybe American singles are no longer looking for other American singles?

The reason there's a question mark after American singles is that the world can now literally meet the rest of the world online and no one is restricted by geographical location, creed, colour, or name. What a lot of American men are reporting is that they never knew how turned-off they were by their fellow American ladies until they got the opportunity to meet women from other countries, and although the majority of American singles online are men, they aren't looking for American single women. But why is this, what's seems to be the problem?

Many would say American Singles Online are full of Disgruntled Men who can't find a partner in the real world!

American men who have emailed the site said that the modern American single women are single for good reason. Most blokes reported that the girls from the US of A don't seem to know what they want these days. They've kind of lost their way somewhat. One fellow wrote in and said that North American women are more like men than men are these days.

They all shout about equality of the sexes until it's time to do the running around and dating. The guy gets the number and makes the call. The new couple then goes out to dine somewhere nice and the man pays the bill. This procedure is often rinsed and repeated a few times and eventually the lass will say "Thank you and good night", and the relationship is exhausted and consequently terminated. The feeling I got from those guys who took the time to write in as that American singles dating is often an unpleasant experience and here's why in the words of one disgruntled 30 year old:

Today's American ladies are usually overweight before they reach late 20's and most do little to battle that bulge other than talk about how modern diet plans are a rip off because they simply don't work. They spend countless hours boring us on dates by talking about their persistent wants in life, and show very little interest in what the guy they're dating has to say. Yet most of them want to be loved for who they are. Go figure! They also want to hold careers and become out-at-work mothers, just so that they can rake in more cash to purchase lots of non-essential items.

The contributor went onto say that the women of the wider world, and especially Asia, only want to be loved first and foremost, and as for the rest of it, well, that will all work out based on the affection, compassion, and understanding in a loving non-materialistic relationship.

American Singles Dating

American singles dating is not dead, far from it, but there do seem to be some problems with pairing up North Americans with North Americans. Oddly enough, no African American singles have written in nor have any Native American Singles bothered to have their say. In fact, the only emails we get here at Dates Allowed are from Caucasian American men seeking women. If any of you American gals would like to defend your corner and let us know what American dating online means to you, then we'd be happy to publish it, but depending on the content, we may have to edit it before uploading.
